Laurel Bastian is the recipient of the Halls Emerging Artist Fellowship for 2010-2011, awarded by the Wisconsin Institute of Creative Writing. She is on the faculty of Madison College, runs a creative writing program for incarcerated adults, and is currently curating "CROSSHATXH" a new and dynamic reading series in Wisconsin (you can join the Facebook page for the series here).
